You will RARELY find me in tight, fitted clothes like this. I just feel more comfortable in a flowy dress or loose fitting graphic tee. But sometimes you just need a little black dress for a fancier occasion, and I love the idea of finding something with fringe (DUH!). I really don't dress up often, in fact I find ways around it because I don't usually like the stereotypical fancy clothes. Fringe makes me happy, so this dress is totally my jam!

If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that we were in San Luis Obispo a little over a week ago. We headed down Friday morning, and made our first stop Krava Bowl in Avila Beach. We sat and ate it on the pier, and then took Sawyer on a long walk on our favorite Bob Jones Trail. If you haven't walked this trail before, I highly suggest it. It's so pretty, an easy stroll, and the weather is usually really nice. Most of the time we start our walk at the beginning of the Bob Jones Trail and we end on it in Avila, then eat Krava Bowl.

Let me start off by saying that my outfit cost me $15 total. Being a wedding guest doesn't mean you need to go buy a fancy dress or spend money on something you'll never wear again. I stand by the idea that you buy something that has multiple uses, can be dressed up or down, and can fit into most situations depending how you accessorize it.

One of the main reasons I love thrifted clothes is because it makes your style more unique. Take this outfit for example, I'm wearing Forever 21 boots and a Forever 21 sweater, and if this dress was from there too, my whole outfit would be from one store which wouldn't be very interesting. Instead, I mixed this bright thrifted dress from Closet Creep with my "new" Forever 21 items to make my outfit more unique and more me.

I love a good pair of sunglasses, hence why I have so many different ones! I usually alternate between a few pairs for a while, and then phase them out for new ones. When I say a while, I mean a few years. Adam got me my first "nice" pair of sunglasses for my birthday when we lived in San Luis Obispo. Which means I've had my Tory Burch sunglasses for at least 4 years and I still love them! I've recently discovered the brand Quay Australia, which has reasonably priced, SUPER cute sunglasses!

Most of you know that I'm a wedding photographer (on top of running this blog), so obviously photos are super important to me! It also means that sometimes I get to teach my friends photography stuff, like shooting film, and they just so happen to need a subject to shoot ;) I think a lot of photographers don't like being on the other side of the camera, but I actually do. It sounds vein, I know haha, but it's actually great practice for putting yourself in your clients shoes, and I've always been a fan of documenting my own life.

I had a request to show how to wear multiple prints in one outfit, and I loved that idea! I actually do this, so it's a super fun post for me. I think the key to mixing prints is keeping within a similar color palette or tone.

This room started as a tan box, so of course I painted it ALL white. A nice, cool white with no warm tones. We slowly got furniture for it, as we'd been sleeping on our mattress on the floor in our last few houses and also didn't have nightstands. The mid century modern dresser was a find from Craigslist when we lived in SLO, and we refinished it to have a darker stain compared to the red one it came with.
