The Key To A Complete Outfit Is: A Cute Pair Of Sunglasses

March 9, 2017

I love a good pair of sunglasses, hence why I have so many different ones! I usually alternate between a few pairs for a while, and then phase them out for new ones. When I say a while, I mean a few years. Adam got me my first "nice" pair of sunglasses for my birthday when we lived in San Luis Obispo. Which means I've had my Tory Burch sunglasses for at least 4 years and I still love them! I've recently discovered the brand Quay Australia, which has reasonably priced, SUPER cute sunglasses! I now own two different pairs, a cat eye and a rounded marble pair, because I'm just so obsessed. They are about $55/$60 a pair, which isn't bad. I rarely splurge on expensive clothes or accessories for two reasons: I cycle through my clothes fairly regularly, and I'd rather have a few of something then one of it because it's so expensive. Sunglasses do get more use though then my other accessories, so I'm ok spending a bit more on them. Poshmark has some great deals on sunglasses, which is where I found my silver cat eye glasses for around $15! I get asked a lot about my prescription sunglasses, which are Warby Parker, and again, reasonably priced for ones with your prescription in them.

I think sunglasses really are a finishing touch to an outfit. On days I'm feeling more funky, I wear my bold sunglasses. On days I'm feeling more plain, I wear my simpler sunglasses. They really add something to an outfit, and good pair of sunglasses can make ANY outfit that much cuter. Finding a pair that flatters your face can be tricky. If you're looking to get a pair of Quay's, Nordstrom sells them so you can pop in and try them on. If you want a pair of Warby Parker's, you can order their free in home try on box (I'll cover more about this in another blog post). For me, I need bigger sunglasses, because the smaller sunglasses make my face look too wide. Below are photos showing how I pair my sunglasses with different outfits :)
