Crochet Thrifted Sweater & Abandoned Buildings

March 6, 2017

We are back from a long weekend away in the Alabama Hills! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have thought I was in Joshua Tree, but I wasn't. I hadn't ever heard of this place until Adam showed it to me, and now I'm obsessed. It's like a less busy Joshua Tree where dogs are allowed everywhere! I'll do a full detailed post from our trip soon, once my film comes back and Adam puts together the video. One of things I love about adventuring is getting to photograph new backdrops and scenery that we don't have in the Bay Area. I'm always attracted to abandoned buildings and falling apart structures, so even though it started to rain on us, we did some photos anyway! :)

Best Friends Wear Floral Print

February 28, 2017

I'm a total planner, and when I want something, I go after it. This time, I wanted a group photo of me and my 8 best friends all wearing floral print. Sounds pretty easy right? Well it's a bit challenging with my sister in law living in southern California and my friend Sara living up near Sacramento. Plus everyone has crazy schedules, and I requested this shoot around the holidays! By some miracle, Monday morning right after Christmas worked for everyone!!!

Mismatched Outfit: Floral Print & Stripes

February 24, 2017

I had a request to show how to wear multiple prints in one outfit, and I loved that idea! I actually do this, so it's a super fun post for me. I think the key to mixing prints is keeping within a similar color palette or tone.

Our Master Bedroom Makeover At The Poff Pad

February 20, 2017

This room started as a tan box, so of course I painted it ALL white. A nice, cool white with no warm tones. We slowly got furniture for it, as we'd been sleeping on our mattress on the floor in our last few houses and also didn't have nightstands. The mid century modern dresser was a find from Craigslist when we lived in SLO, and we refinished it to have a darker stain compared to the red one it came with.

Backless, Off The Shoulder Sweater

February 2, 2017

The only thing that gets me through winter (because I'd much prefer summer), is comfy sweaters and cute boots!! I love this sweater from SheIn. I'm wearing it off the shoulder, but it can worn many ways. The back of the sweater is adorable, and gives me the perfect excuse to wear my strappy bralette!

Lace Up Top from Paige Said So

December 22, 2016

I don't usually buy too many long sleeve shirts in comparison to short sleeve, because I feel they aren't super versatile, and as you know, I love clothes I can wear all year! BUT this lace up shirt from Paige Said So was just too amazing to pass up.

Poff Pad Front Yard

December 20, 2016

When we bought the house last April, the first thing you noticed inside and outside was that the color tan threw up everywhere. We are so not tan paint people, give us cool neutrals, like grey and white, and pops of color like an orange front door and a dark blue house. The mid century modern style is our vibe (if you hadn't noticed yet), so we wanted to bring that to our not so mid century modern looking house.
