Last weekend we were down in San Luis Obispo and when we drove by this turquoise building, I knew we had to stop for photos. Being a photographer, quirky buildings, fun colored walls, and open landscapes always call my name!

I have an obsession for graphic tshirts because they are so comfy and easy to just throw on. Instead of a plain tshirt, consider a graphic one next time you're shopping. Having something on your shirt already, means you can opt to accessorize less. This bull shirt from Phoenix & Kate is a fun example of what I'm talking about. The only time I wear a plain tshirt is if it's low cut so I can wear a bralette, or if my bottoms are super colorful.

Yesterday we were out in the Carrizo Plains, a little north east of San Luis Obispo. The "super bloom" is happening there right now, so we wanted to check it out before California turns brown again haha. I of course used this opportunity to photograph some new outfits for my blog, including this festival inspired look.

I get asked A LOT about where my glasses and my tortoise shell sunglasses are from. (I'm assuming because they are cuter then a lot of other glasses people are used to seeing haha) I'm always happy to tell people about Warby Parker because they have amazing customer service and great prices on their glasses. I've been using Warby Parker for my prescription glasses and sunglasses for a few years now, and I don't even bother looking at my eye doctor anymore.

I posted on Instagram the other day about how a cute pair of jeans/pants can make ALL the difference in an outfit. It can make a boring outfit into a cute outfit really easily. I think I only own one plain pair of jeans (which I'll use to demonstrate and compare for you), because ripped, patterned, high waisted, or fringed jeans are just so much better.

I've been dubbed the "kimono queen" by many, which I don't mind one bit!! Kimonos are one of the easiest ways to accessorize an outfit, just like a cute pair of shoes or a necklace. I probably have WAY too many kimonos, but I'll never admit to that ;) I'm so ready for summer and all the cute clothes that come with it. Ripped jean shorts are pretty much a staple for summer, and can layer well with most things.

I'm one of these people who believes that leggings should not be worn as pants, only because I don't think camel toe or seeing right through to your underwear in the butt area is cute haha. I'm ALL for leggings as pants if your shirt is long enough. Which is also the struggle with flare pants, because I don't like any weird crotch area going on haha. This all brings me to this lace up t-shirt from Phoenix & Kate, because it is long enough to wear with my flares.

I'm loving that appliqué denim is back! It reminds me of my Abercrombie days and how much I loved that store as a teenager haha. Today I went to Anthropologie in Walnut Creek to pick out fun decor pieces for my upcoming photography workshop that I'm teaching. I do a styled shoot portion, and this year the theme is neon. While I was there, my friend Morgan snapped a few photos of my new denim skirt on their outdoor patio.

Rompers are kind of my favorite, because like dresses, it's one and done. The other thing I love about rompers is I feel like they can be dressed up or down really easily, depending on the occasion. I've seen this romper online for a while now (you've probably seen the maxi version of this dress), and wondered well how do I wear a bra with that?!

We've been working hard on our large side yard renovation, so we decided to take a break to wine taste at Retzlaff Winery in Livermore with our friends Alana and Andy. We live really close to the Arroyo Trail, which takes you right out to the wineries. I'd be dying to do this bike ride again, ever since we went last summer. But first things first, I had to get a bike.
