I've been dubbed the "kimono queen" by many, which I don't mind one bit!! Kimonos are one of the easiest ways to accessorize an outfit, just like a cute pair of shoes or a necklace. I probably have WAY too many kimonos, but I'll never admit to that ;) I'm so ready for summer and all the cute clothes that come with it. Ripped jean shorts are pretty much a staple for summer, and can layer well with most things.
I think a lot girls have this Free People slip dress (it has come in a lot of different colors over the years), and I love that it can be a dress or a shirt. The size I got, extra small, can only really be a shirt for me, unless I'm pairing it with leggings or another slip dress underneath. For this outfit, I made it a shirt by knotting one side, so my jean shorts would still be seen. I'm wearing a new Three Bird Nest bralette (IT'S THE CUTEST BRALETTE EVER!!!!) under the dress to add some interest on top instead of a necklace. Bralette's are a great replacement for necklaces if you're trying to keep your outfit simplified, but still want something fun going on. My LulaRoe kimono (thanks Kayla Tackett!) ties in the dark shoes with my outfit, and the fringe on it is my fav. Lastly, I'm wearing my new platform sandals from DSW. I think this outfit is super simple and can easily be replicated with any kimono, jean shorts, and slip dress. And don't forget DSW's shoe sale ends on Thursday!
