I posted on Instagram the other day about how a cute pair of jeans/pants can make ALL the difference in an outfit. It can make a boring outfit into a cute outfit really easily. I think I only own one plain pair of jeans (which I'll use to demonstrate and compare for you), because I think ripped, patterned, high waisted, or fringed jeans are just so much better. I do love how these Seven For All Mankind jeans fit though, so they for sure get worn! I'll keep this series up, showing you more comparisons with plain jeans vs. more fun jeans.
My TopShop jeans have easily become my favorite, because of their high waist and stretchy material. FYI if you do buy them, size up 1 size since they are quite tight but stretchy. For this look, I'm wearing a graphic cold shoulder tshirt from She In, a belt from Nordstrom, slip on sneakers from DSW, a choker from Necklige by Raquel, and one of my fav thrifted purses. One thing I usually do to my jeans is cuff the bottoms, so they show a little ankle. I also really only wear skinny jeans, because I think they are the most flattering, showing off the skinniest part of your leg. (I of course wear a flare pant from time to time, just no boot cut or anything like that)
It's actually funny that pretty much all of my jeans have rips in them, because back in the middle school/high school days, my mom refused to let me wear any ripped jeans. I remember she let me get ONE pair from Abercrombie after I begged and begged, because the rips were tiny enough and the fun embellishments took your eye away from the rips. Sorry mom, ripped jeans are here to stay ;)
PS. If you're looking for a new purse, I highly suggest checking thrift stores. They always have a lot of smaller, cute cross body bags!
