I really am a morning person, but after only a few hours of sleep thanks to an INSANE wind storm, I didn't want to get up anymore for sunrise like we planned. After laying in bed in our Westfalia for a few minutes, I decided that I should get up so I don't miss getting to shoot in the glorious morning light :)
If you follow me on Instagram, then you saw that I purchased 4 items for $26 from Forever 21 during their 50% off sale items sale 2 weeks ago. These pants were actually on my want list, so I was excited to see them on mega sale ($11). I've been loving more of a high waisted jean, and they are not only that, but they also are stretchy and have fringe on the bottom (duh, fringe everything!). I added a low cut tshirt, cute halter bralette, Matisse booties, and my thrifted jean jacket. For some more color and texture, since the outfit is fairly plain, I'm wearing an embellished turquoise choker and a felt hat (that I've had for years). This outfit really is so easy to put together, and I think the pants really make this outfit fun! A good pair of jeans (ex: ripped, flared, high waisted, etc.) can make a simple outfit SUPER cute.
I also really love this thrifted denim jacket that I've had for years. It's great to layer over other jackets when it's cold, I bring it camping, and I can wear it over pretty much any outfit. I've deemed this my "desert sunrise" jacket because I coincidentally wore this jacket to our last two trips to the desert and wore it at sunrise both times. I have never found a denim jacket that I liked more, and I think it's because of how worn in it is.
