So if you've been following me for a while, then you know that I've been doing fun colors in my hair for almost 2 years! I started off with dark turquoise peekaboo's and then tried out different placements with different shades of purple, hot pink, light blue, pastel rainbow, and a mix of purple and blue. I feel so bored without color now, so I like to keep changing it up!
When I went in last week, I told my stylist Erica that I wanted a more all over metallic blue color with a shadowed root. I didn't want my whole head to be blue, so I loved the idea of the dark root. She combined a few different colors from the Joico line to make our end result. I was nervous while my hair was processing, but when I saw it blow dried and curled, I was instantly OBSESSED! It's a fun change, and I for sure had to work my way up to this much color. I've turned a lot of people onto "fashion colors", and got them hooked too! So don't be scared, it doesn't damage your hair and on most people, it fades fairly quickly.
TIP: When you go in, I always make I have a few different inspiration photos. It's good to be on the same page with your stylist, and speak up if don't like something or want something specific. Make sure you consider the lighting and editing of any photos you're showing your stylist, because that makes a big difference in the color.
