Romwe off the shoulder shirt

Off the shoulder shirts have become a recent favorite in my summer wardrobe. I love that this Romwe shirt has long sleeves, so it can versatile for different seasons and occasions. For this summer look, I'm wearing it with Three Bird Nest sandals, an Anthropologie hat, Warby Parker sunglasses, and shorts from Plato's Closet.

Thanks Romwe for this fun collab!

Spring to summer!

Some people put away their spring clothes and pull out their summer ones. I prefer to just buy pieces all year long that can be mixed and matched in any season. Luckily I live in California where it never gets that cold, so I can still wear skirts in the winter and spring. I recently went shopping at The Stoneridge Mall for a new summer outfit. I'd been loving matching sets but they are hard to find for a decent price. When I saw this one at Forever 21 I had to have it! (They only had the skirt in size large so my mom and I sewed it to make it smaller because I just loved it so much). I found a cute necklace at Nordstrom and shoes from Steve Madden. What I love is that I can wear this crop top with high waisted pants in the spring and this skirt with an oversized sweater and booties. It's a versatile outfit and I already want to wear it again ;)

She In Duster

I LOVE kimonos, and dusters because of their length. This one from She In caught my eye! I paired it with lace flare pants from Broken Down Clothing, a Free People tank top, a necklace from Forever 21, and sunglasses from Wet Seal. My other accessories are a 39 North ring and a Hipanema bracelet from Drift Co. If you're looking for a new kimono or duster, for sure check out She In, they have a lot of choices :)

NYX at The Stoneridge Mall

Over the weekend I went to the NYX Cosmetics grand opening at the Stoneridge Mall. I got a few goodies that I've already been using and love!

1. Matte bronzer in deep tan. It's the perfect color for my skin, not too dark and not too dark, and ads that sunkissed glow! I love it.

2. Matte finish spray. I feel like my skin gets a bit shiny by the end of the day, so I'm hoping this well help stop that

3. Micro brow pencil in espresso. I'd been using something else to fill in my eyebrows before, but I decided to try this pencil instead and I love it way more! It goes on smooth and blends in perfectly.

4. Retractable eyeliner in brown. I use this for under my eye and smudge it a bit.

5. Matte lipstick in euro trash (MLS19) and natural (MLS09). These are both more of a neutral lip color and great to just give a slight pop of color to your lip for a casual look.

6. Hot singles eye shadow in the color heat (HS70). I'd been looking for a pink/orange eye shadow and I love this one! It doesn't go on super dark, but you can layer it to make it darker.

Thanks Stoneridge Mall!

Our Dining Room

We love mid century modern, if you couldn't tell by now ;) Back in April 2015 I came across an estate sale on Craigslist over in Alameda. We woke up at 6am, drove there with truck and trailer, and waited in line for 1 hour (we were 4th in line). As soon as they opened the door to the house Adam and I ran in different directions searching for this table/chair/sideboard set that was only $350! Luckily Adam found it just in time, right before someone else tried to claim it. We couldn't believe what a good deal we got. I plan to recover the cushions eventually, but for now we love it as it is.

The wall art is from Minted // Table decor is all thrifted, except the coasters which were wedding gifts from Anthropologie // brass plant stand is also from a thrift store (Goodwill) // Hanging light is from West Elm (we used wedding gift cards we were given to purchase it) // Curtains are from Target (Nate Berkus) // Curtain rod is from West Elm //
