When I think about my outfit in the morning, shoes, sunglasses, and a necklace are the final piece that really make my outfit cute or not. The right shoes can make all the difference, and show which direction your outfit is going in, like casual, funky, dressed up, boho, etc. Have a few good pairs of shoes, sunglasses, and necklaces that you know will fit with most of your outfits and really show off your style. 

My favorite thing about a cami style shirt dress (like this one from Frankie Marie Boutique) is it's ability to be worn in many ways and many seasons. It's perfect for layering over shorts with a kimono for summer or throwing a sweater over for winter. You can even size up a few sizes making it more oversized and longer like a dress. For this look, I'm wearing longer cut off shorts from Plato's Closet, a duster from Target, Latigo sandals from Poshmark, Warby Parker sunglasses, and layered Arrow Jewelry necklaces. 

I've become the kimono queen, and for good reasons! A kimono completes any outfit, and is an easy accessory. It gives movement to your outfit, provides a fun texture like fringe, and in most cases, has a fun print on it. It's easy to throw on, and I LOVE wearing them with high waisted shorts. I usually size up for kimonos, to make sure that it won't be too slim fitting. And side note, if you're looking for new sandals for summer, for sure check out Latigo. Want to know how long I've had these sequin shorts?! I thiiiink about 4 years! I bought them in SLO at a little boutique, as something to wear on a Vegas trip. But they quickly turned into shorts I can wear with anything. Usually you'll find me in a dressed down outfit, like wearing this Shop Stevie ripped back graphic tee and Three Bird Nest gladiator sandals. I love wearing something in every outfit that is somewhat of a statement. I think that makes your outfit really pop!

So it always seems like the hair we have is the hair we don't want. But I've learned that embracing the hair type you have will not only save your hair, but it's also unique to you. So many people I know straighten their hair instead of embracing the waves, or curl their instead of embracing the kinky, frizzy waves. I used to wear my hair natural until a few years when I got a Keratin treatment (twice), and for a long time after, my hair was never the same. FINALLY, just a few months ago, my natural waves were back!

I think a lot of people struggle with what to wear under a backless shirt (this one if from Gypsy Creek Boutique). Pretty much if I'm having a shirt dilemma, a bralette fixes my problem! Since this shirt is plain in the front, I needed a bralette that was also plain, so there wouldn't be any weird lines. This Gina Tricot sequin backed bralette was the perfect choice! I haven't worn it yet, so I was really excited to find the perfect outfit for it.

Last night the Plain White T's were playing at the Alameda County Fair. The song "Hey There Delilah" is our song, and it's what I walked down the aisle to at our wedding. So when I heard they were coming, I knew we HAD to go. I'm pretty sure the whole crowd was there just to hear that song haha, as people were chanting it all night long. It was finally played at the very end and it was the song everyone stood up and sang along to.
