In early September we had a gender reveal party at our house. I love any excuse for a party, so I wasn’t going to let this moment slip by without a celebration! We went in to find out the gender via a blood test around 9 weeks, but the only person who knew was our friend/photographer Tina. She emailed the confetti seller on Etsy, Once Upon A Party Co., with the gender and kept our secret for us for about 2 weeks! It was so fun getting to find out the gender of baby Poff with our friends and family. And in case you’re wondering, I had a strong feeling it was a boy, so I wasn’t surprised at all haha.

We bought 8, 12 inch confetti cannons because we wanted the biodegradable confetti so we didn’t have to worry about fully cleaning it up afterwards. If I were to do it again, I would have probably bought a few more, or even gone for the large canons and just dealt with the cleanup. We got some really good shots, but since the cannons are smaller the confetti does fall pretty fast.

Unsure if you want to do a gender reveal party? I say YES! Why not celebrate all the moments with your favorite people!
