I kind of love the challenge of finding two different prints that work together. I purchased both these shorts and kimono at my local Plato's Closet recently. I bring clothes to sell there a lot, and then use the money I get back to buy "new" stuff! This kimono was BRAND NEW with the tags still on it, which is always my favorite find. It's actually a size large, but like I've mentioned before, clothing size doesn't matter. What matters is how YOU want your clothes to fit, based on your own personal style. Kimonos are one of those things that can be oversized and still cute, because it is so flowly. So back to mismatched, the kimono and shorts work well together because the kimono draws the dark color from the shorts. I added a low cut black tshirt that allows me to wear a cute, strappy bralette. I'm sure we've heard it all before, "black and blue don't go together, it looks like a bruise." FALSE! Anything can go together if it's put together the right way, and the right shades of black and blue specifically. Just to recap the cost of my outfit, my kimono was $14, shorts $8, and bralette $5, all from Platos Closet plus 20% off with my stamp card, and my tshirt was $4 from Forever 21 when they were having a mega sale.
