OOTD Danielle // Thrifting Your Outfit

Growing up, I went to countless thrift stores and garage sales with my mom. I learned to love finding a good deal, making something old into something new, and seeing a used item differently then someone else might. Still to this day I love thrifting, because you can find unique pieces that make your wardrobe different and stand out. Plus, you can't beat the prices ;) I actually can shop better in a thrift store then a department store; I can spot what I like and don't like faster. Last week my mom and I went thrifting in the San Luis Obispo area and I scored some amazing clothes! I will be sharing more outfits where I incorporate these items soon, but here is my first look: 1) I found this amazing fitted, long shirt jacket with a fun fall floral print. It of course had shoulder pads in it, which I cut out 2) This white loose fitting tank caught my eye at Goodwill because of it's length 3) I purchased these jeans which are about a size too big aka "boyfriend jeans" and came home and destroyed them myself with scissors and tweezers to make my own holes, instead of spending $50+ on boyfriend destroyed denim at a retail store 4) Lastly, I wore my brown booties and metal statement necklace that I bought at Forever 21. The thrill of the hunt is the best, and this is one of my favorite outfits to date! Finding the right balance between thrifted and new will give you a killer outfit :)
